Rubber Buffers

Rubber buffer heads utilize high-performance rubbers and steel anvils to allow the tampershoes to move both vertically and horizontally.

This enables the tampershoes to adapt to variations in the concrete fill within each mold cavity, resulting in more consistent compaction. During compaction, this helps compensate for variations in the concrete fill, promoting more uniform density and reducing the risk of surface cracking. Rubber Buffers are recommended for large slabs and concrete products 12 inches (300 mm) or larger in size.

Benefits of Rubber Buffers

  • More consistent compaction due to vertical and horizontal tampershoe movement
  • Compensate for minor variations in concrete fill
  • Promote more uniform concrete compaction across the mold
  • Help produce a high-quality stone surface with reduced risk of cracks
  • Optional strain relief protects the rubber buffers from excessive forces, extending service life, and maintaining reliable performance
