Draw Plates, Draw Fingers and Core Pullers
Draw plates, drawfingers, and core pullers are used when the stone design requires it. Theyβre needed for stones with profiles on the underside of the stone (draw plate with ledgers or drawfingers) or for holes in the center of the stone (core puller).
The draw plate or drawfingers are placed between the pallet and the mold bottom and pulled out by your machine after the filling and compacting process. Core pullers, on the other hand, are inserted through the mold above the pallet and then withdrawn after the filling and compacting process. This produces the respective features in the stone.
A draw plate without ledgers can also be used if the underside of the stone must be optimal and worn production boards no longer allow this. These special features can only be used if the machine was designed with drawplate or core pullers.
