Pneumatic Filling Equalization (PFE)
Pneumatic filling equalization, also called filling compensation, helps ensure consistent product height, strength, and surface quality by automatically compensating for variations in concrete fill levels during production. This is made possible through the use of air bags.
During the initial compaction process, air bags allow the tampershoes to adjust to uneven concrete distribution within the mold. This promotes more uniform compaction and helps create consistent product density across the entire stone.
During final compaction, the system depressurizes. This allows horizontal movement in the tampershoes while vertical movement is stopped by anvils to compensate for any remaining height differences, resulting in uniform stone heights and an even surface finish. The PFE design improves stone surface quality and produces better stone chamfers. RAMPF can supply the pneumatic controller needed for your machine.
