FlexWay®

FlexWay is a two-piece tamperhead, or compression head, system that allows controlled horizontal movement during the production cycle regulated by a pneumatic brake. This pneumatic positioning system automatically aligns the tampershoes before each cycle, ensuring precise, collision-free entry into the mold.

By maintaining the correct alignment between the mold bottom and the tampershoes as the machine cycles, FlexWay minimizes wear on mold components while improving production consistency.
The additional weight of the system increases stone density, while the controlled horizontal movement helps create a smoother, more refined surface finish. The floating design also reduces misalignment collisions between the tamperhead and mold bottom, contributing to lower component wear and improved mold performance.

Because pre-vibration is no longer required, FlexWay also helps reduce production cycle times. Its modular, two-piece design allows the system to be used with a variety of tamperheads where the FlexWay head structure can be bolted on.
